New Venue

OK so lots has happened! Due to a fire a little while ago our venue got closed down! 4 months before the wedding! It was crazy and very long this weekend trying to find a new place. A lot of places did not have our date open. But the few that did we went and looked at. All great places with positives and negatives. We found a place that fit almost perfect! However a bit out of the budget, so yes that means I have revisit the guest list and cut off about 50 people to fit into our budget! It is crazy and super hard and I am praying that no one will hate me when they don't get an invite! The wedding will end up being family and close friends. But I am super excited about my place it is down in Rancho Cucamonga, The Christmas house! It is beautiful and if you want to take a look the website is http://www.christmashouseinn.com/

An update on the house it is going through escrow right now. We are expecting to be getting the keys the 2nd week of April!!! So exciting!

Guest List

So I finally did it! Worked on my guest list that is. I am almost done. I am just having a hard time deciding who to put on the A list and who to put on the B list and I just can't stop adding people it seems like. I am hoping to have it all done by this weekend, with the help of my mom of course! Next I will need to be sending out the save the dates, which I have all designed I just need to know how many to order! I have also found the cutes brides made shoes ever, so this weekend we will be going to get those, Yeah! I still have not found shoes but I know I will. Everything is going together so well. It is awesome, only a few more things, taste testing of food and cake, invites, favors and flowers! Which I have ideas of what I want I just need it finalized! It is super exciting.

In all this craziness Tommy and I found a house and are going through the escrow process! It is exciting but stressful. I can't wait for this to be checked of the list so there is one less thing on my mind! It is an awesome house in Spring Valley Ridge, the same neighborhood as my grandparents! We are excited! Officiant

So I got one more wedding thing done! And no it is not my guest list. We asked one of our favorite Pastors to officiate our wedding. Tim Kuhl!!! It is going to be awesome and he his awesome coming home from missions with 3 days to spare and still willing to be part of our special day! Tim and his wife Wendi, were a couple we choose to interview during our Pre-Marital class, and it was a huge help!! They have been great to us and we are so excited for him to do this for us it will now officially be an awesome ceremony!

The most awesome pastor and couple ever! Thanks for always be such a great example to us weather you knew it or not!

First One Ever!!!

OK so this is my first blog ever! I am not really sure what I am supposed to do so I am just going to write (I think that is what I am supposed to do) But I saw a blog of a family I love and miss a lot, the Walton's, and well it made me want to try it out myself!
Since it is my first blog let me get you updated on my life! About 3 years ago I was lucky to meet a wonderful man named Tommy Dodge! After about a year he finally asked me out!!! Then a year later he finally asked me to marry him!!! And then another year later I finally got to start planning my wedding!!! If you have not notice God is teaching me patience cause I sure wanted all of that to happen a lot faster!
But now I am planning a wedding to marry the most amazing man ever! It is so exciting yet very stressful! There is so much to do but, I would have to say I have gotten almost everything done, except my guest list! I know what you are thinking how can you plan a wedding with out a guest list it is simple plan it with the number you can afford and put off having to choose who to invite! I have always been one of those people who wait until the very last minute and that is what I will be doing with this guest list! I am also one of those people who can't say no, so to tell someone they can't come is also hard for me.
On top of planning the wedding Tommy and I are looking for a house! It is a great time to buy. Two years ago I thought I would never have my own house with the prices they were at. Now it is so exciting to know I can afford one! We have been looking for about a month now, It might be a good time to buy but it is also a hard time to find a good house that has not been trashed!
I have also started a new job at RQ Construction. For those of you who know me I know it is hard to imagine me with a hammer working hard. So don't worry I am not doing that! I am a secretary for the company (much better huh!) I work with my soon to be father-in-law and Tommy. It is a whole new world for me and I am still learning. But let me tell you I will learn until my brain frys to pay off these wedding bills!
